American Flag

Flyer for America 250 at the EPAC March 4, 2025 at 6:30pm

America 250 is a nonpartisan initiative working to engage every American in commemorating and celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Semiquincentennial.

Please join Judge James Lockemy, former Chief Judge on the South Carolina Court of Appeals, for a discussion of the Revolutionary War as it raged in what is now Dillon County, South Carolina.

Lockemy relates, “The importance of our state in this conflict and the clashes that occurred here were crucial in the ultimate victory of America.  An interesting fact, after the battles had ended and peace declared, many around Latta refused to stop fighting. This led to continued conflict even after the war was over and independence won."

This event will take place at the Ellis Performing Arts Center in Latta on Tuesday, March 4 at 6:30pm. This will be a free event sponsored by the Latta Schools Educational Foundation.
