It is with great pleasure that we share with you all the winners of the LES Art Contest.
Mrs. Shaul was sent a coloring book page of the "Viking" head. She asked each of her students to give their best on it, not knowing it would be judged and there would be winners. The students colored the Viking head to their liking; however, they wanted to.
The artwork was judged by a committee of coaches. After the final three from each grade level were picked, a committee of senior student-athletes voted on them and picked the overall winner.
How does this impact our student-athletes? Our student athletes have the opportunity to earn a sticker, bag tag, or other various items upon the completion of 10 hours of community service in elementary education. This will symbolize that they have completed their 10 hours and given back to our youth.
Each winning student received a letter home to their parents, a goody basket with art supplies and candy, a Viking blanket, and a Viking rally towel. The overall winner received the same items and also a $25.00 gift card. In addition, they will receive their artwork in sticker form as soon as these stickers come out of production, and they will be recognized at a home football game during the 2025 season.
The winning students are as follows:
Reid Morrell, De'Lani Landaverde, Abigail Brown, Kemet Pouncey, Estrella Lopez-Garcia, and Cassie Dailey. Cassie Dailey is also the overall winner!
These winners are pictured above with some of our senior student-athletes: Micah Jones, Maddie Berry, Cayden Mishue, Janie Nolan, Makinley Wallace, and Preston Brown. Also, check out all the winner's artwork below!
Thank you for your support and love for Viking athletics!
Go Vikings!
