The Latta Middle School 7th grade ProTeam students visited Latta Elementary School this week. ProTeam, taught by Mrs. Cristin Britt, is a course designed to encourage students to become educators. To accomplish this goal, the ProTeam curriculum requires students to be fully immersed in the classroom to assist teachers and students. During this experience, our middle-schoolers got the opportunity to read aloud to classes, help students one-on-one with their math or reading, and even help with redirection and classroom management. After this experience, several students expressed their interest in becoming a teacher and their understanding of how challenging, yet rewarding teaching can be.
